British screen national treasure to tour Australia

Residents in and around Melbourne Southbank who are fans of the British comedy Absolutely Fabulous, might be keen to go along to Hamer Hall to catch an interesting evening with Joanna Lumley. Often, audiences to specific cultural events are alerted to them by the use of poster printing, carried out in local Print shops.

Dame Joanna Lumley is the darling of television screens in Great Britain. With a TV career spanning almost fifty years, she has appeared is such fan favourites as The New Avengers, Sensitive Skin and Jam and Jerusalem. Film credits include James and the Giant Peach, Corpse Bride and The Wolf of Wall Street. To many, though, her standout contribution has been as Patsy Stone in Absolutely Fabulous, the posh, mostly inebriated friend of publicity-hungry Edina Monsoon.

Dame Lumley is performing in five cities in Australia where she will recount tales from her many and varied career high and lowlights. Her friend, producer, Clive Tulloh, will be joining her to posit questions submitted by the audience. It will be a night of fond memories, revelations and laughter. Ms Lumley herself says of the evening:
