Residents of Melbourne Southbank are invited to join Anthony Callea as he celebrates the start of his fourth decade with his aptly entitled concert FORTYlove, at the Palms at Crown in Southbank next month.
Callea came to national attention when he was crowned runner-up in Australian Pop Idol in 2004. From this platform, he went on to release the chart single The Prayer, which received the accolade of being one of the best-selling songs of that decade.
With a back catalogue of six albums, Callea’s strong, versatile voice and confident song choices have made him a favourite across the country. His last album, ARIA Number 1 Hits in Symphony, was his third to go straight into the charts at No 1, joining the ranks of other Australian favourites such as Keith Urban who have also achieved this feat.
The FORTYlove concert will be interspersed by dialogue with the audience and personal stories. It will feature new and old songs, with a mix of covers and some original music from Callea. Promoters for events such as this rely on local Print houses to provide banner and poster printing for advertising within the locality for maximum exposure.
There will be three shows in total at Palms at Crown in Southbank, Melbourne, with doors opening at 7:30 pm on May 6, 7 and 8. Tickets cost from $76.42.
