Australia and Pakistan face off on Boxing Day

The annual Boxing Day Test match will be played again this year at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Held over five days, traditionally Australia participates in this match with an international team, and this year the team will face off with Pakistan. It is expected that, as usual, not only Australian supporters will attend, but international visitors will make the trip for the event too.

Corporate suites will be available for organisations that wish to book. There will also be a number of beer gardens, sports bars and cafes on the site providing food and drinks.

The MCG has become an icon to Melbourne and is known colloquially as ‘The ‘G’. It was built in 1853 but it was not until 1877 that Test Cricket was first played there, and one-day international cricket first took place there in 1971.

The Boxing Day Test has become a fixture in sporting Calendars for the city.
It is likely that banner printing and Signs will be used to advertise the Test and provide information, while Promotional Products, such as scarves, may be available for purchase.

The Test Match will be held from December 26 to 30 at the MCG on Brunton Ave in East Melbourne. Gates will open from 9:00 am. Day three of the Test will be family day with children admitted for free.
