Delta Goodrem began a career in the media at just seven years old, when she appeared in shows such as A Country Practice, Hey Dad and Police Rescue, followed by a role in Neighbours at age 16. By then Goodrem had already signed a record deal, and her album Innocent Eyes had drawn acclaim as one of the highest selling first albums in Australian history. The album spawned five number one hits, and won the ARIA award for Highest Selling Album for two consecutive years.
