Workshop scheduled to help Caulfield job seekers
Those that are seeking work and encountering difficulties in the Caulfield area might be well-served by a workshop that provides helpful techniques and tools to help with the journey.
The workshop seeks to provide advice for those that are struggling to get interviews, and also offers tips for approaching an interview with confidence.
During the event, participants will initially learn how to build professional resumes and craft strong cover letters. Following on from this, strategies will be covered - such as looking for work, and the most likely places the jobs might be advertised, as well as using networking to provide an advantage.
A key strength in any application is highlighting particular capabilities and strengths, and tips for this will be covered. Applications need to be customised towards each particular job specification, and there will be advice for this as well.
Finally, techniques will be highlighted so that potential candidates can take part in an interview with confidence, safe in the knowledge that they are well-prepared.
Courses that are content-heavy sometimes use local printing services in order to produce handouts that attendees can take away with them.
Tools & Techniques for Job Seeking will take place as a two-day workshop, on Thursday 20 and Thursday 27 November, from 9.30am until 2.30pm. The location is Manders Villas, 311-313 Glen Eira Road, Caulfield. Tickets cost $25.
