Those living in the Caulfield area who may be struggling to secure employment can attend a two-day workshop that aims to give them actionable hints and tips.
The art of applying for a job can be a daunting prospect for many, especially if they struggle to get an interview. The workshop on offer aims to help those attending update their job-seeking skills, looking at new ways to search and tips for confidence in interviews.
Areas covered specifically will include how and where to look for jobs, including networking, tweaking CVs, cover letters and applications to make sure they are role-specific, as well as making careful use of artificial intelligence. There will also be help on marketing personal capabilities and strengths, and guidance on how to prepare for success in an interview, whether that be in person or online.
Events such as workshops are likely to generate a lot of factual information, and so handouts and information sheets to be taken away by participants may often be provided by local Print shops.
Tools and Techniques for Job Seeking is taking place on Thursday, 22 and Thursday, 29 October, from 9.30 am until 2.30 pm. The venue is Manders Villas, 311-313 Glen Eira Road, Caulfield. A ticket costs $25. Subsidised places are available and refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.Get a Free Quote for Print
