Arrernte artist to play solo in Caulfield

Fans of live music in the Caulfield area can enjoy a free concert in May.

By popular demand, Olivia Meg, a Naarm-based singer/songwriter, will be playing her own compositions at a local gallery.

Meg has an impressive vocal range and her music is introspective, examining the minutiae and mundanity of contemporary relationships. The genre is a unique mix of rock and indie folk, which Meg calls “sad girl indie folk rock.” This sets her apart from other musicians as she does not conform to musical norms and is keen to project her authenticity through her music and lyrics, creating a sound that both resonates with the listener and is also deeply immersive and reflective.

Always authentic, Meg’s ability to reach and resonate with an audience appeals to her fans. As well as singing and playing guitar, she also plays the piano, citing influence from Australian artists such as Matt Corby and Julia Jacklin.
