Platinum band headed to Caulfield area

An award-winning indie band from England that achieved platinum record status in Australia are making a welcome return to Melbourne later this year.

English indie stars The Kooks are set to play at Melbourne’s celebrated Festival Hall, allowing fans of the band from suburbs like Caulfield to enjoy a live performance. The upcoming tour of Australia is designed to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the group’s wildly successful debut “Inside In/Inside Out”, and it will see them also take the stage at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane and the Enmore Theatre in Sydney.

Australian venues hosting international acts and artists will often use flyer printing services to create branded leaflets advertising events that include details like their location and pricing.

Since they formed back in Brighton in 2004, The Kooks have enjoyed major success both at home and abroad with platinum records in the UK, Ireland and Oz. The group consists of Alexis Nunez on drums, Luke Pritchard on rhythm guitar and vocals and Hugh Harris playing bass, lead guitar and synthesiser. Together, the members combine a wide range of musical styles, including rock, pop, ska, fun, hip-hop and reggae.

The Kooks will play at the Festival Hall, located at 300 Dudley Street in West Melbourne, on Thursday, October 6. The band will be supported by The Vanns, who will kick off the show at 9 pm.
