Pancare Foundation to host races fundraiser

The Pancare Foundation, which supports research into pancreatic cancer and delivers programs to help sufferers, will be holding a fundraising event at Melbourne Racing Club.

Held in the exclusive Committee Room of Caulfield Racecourse, which enjoys great views of the finishing straight and, of course, the winning post, the event will begin with drinks and canapes, followed by a three-course lunch prepared by well-known chef, Ian Curley. Red, white and sparkling wines, beer and soft drinks are included in the package.

There will be nine races on the day and each guest will receive a complimentary race guide. Betting facilities will be available in the reception area. Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed ladies in Fashions on the Field and there will be prize giveaways and a charity auction.

Such events offer guests the chance to have an enjoyable day out, meet and network with new people and exchange Business Cards, while raising funds for a good cause. The Pancare Foundation was founded in 2011. Survival rates for pancreatic cancer have not reduced significantly in almost 40 years and it is projected that by 2030 pancreatic cancer will be the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths.

The event will be held on Saturday June 1st from 11:30am to 5pm at the Caulfield Racecourse. Tickets cost $3,500 for a table of 10 or $350 for individual tickets.
