Caulfield Racecourse will hold one of the biggest events on Australia’s race calendar this October.
Racing fans in Caulfield will be pleased to hear that the internationally renowned event called the Caulfield Cup Carnival will return to “The Heath” in October. The annual occasion features arguably one of the biggest horse races in Australia, the Caulfield Cup which has prize money adding up to $5,000,000 and is considered an important lead-up race to the coveted Melbourne Cup.
Longstanding establishments like racecourses often look to respected Stationery printing services for branded writing materials that ensure all their correspondence appears professional.
The first Caulfield Cup took place in 1879 and was won by the immensely successful Point Cook racehorse Newminster. With a total distance of more than 2400 metres and handicap conditions the Group one race is ranked as the world’s most lucrative flat race of its length, attracting best-in class horses and jockeys from leading stables across Australia and overseas.
Performances in races at the Caulfield Cup are among the available qualification methods to participate in the Melbourne Cup, another major event in the spring racing season that takes place 16 days later.
The Caulfield Cup will now be held on Saturday, October 19 at Caulfield Racecourse. The racecourse can be found at Gate 2 on Station Street in Caulfield East.
