Just a few weeks left to explore the world of 007

Time is running out for James Bond fans to get a closer look at some iconic pieces from the movies.

The Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style exhibition is running for only a few more weeks at Melbourne Museum. The showing features costumes and props from throughout the franchise’s history. Among the most recognisable are the spacesuit from Moonraker, the scary teeth that belonged to villain Jaws and the agent's beloved Aston Martin DB5, which was featured in the most recent instalment, Skyfall.

Avid fans from Caulfield will be pleased to know that printing services have been used to create a book to accompany the exhibition allowing enthusiasts to take home a permanent souvenir of their visit.

Visitors who would like to get into the spirit of James Bond might like to attend one of the Friday night openings that are themed around a Bond location and include music, talks, and even a Martini bar.

The museum is also holding a special event on Saturday February 22nd to mark the last night of the exhibition, which coincides with the city’s White Night festival. It is based on Paris’ Nuit Blanche and features a number of cultural events from 7:00 pm that evening to 7:00 am the following morning. The evening will also include a screening of Skyfall at the IMAX cinema.

The Designing 007 exhibition runs until Sunday February 23rd at Melbourne Museum in Nicholson Street. Separate tickets need to be purchased for the Bond show, which also include entry to the rest of the museum.
