Heritage setting in Caulfield to host market

Residents in the area of Caulfield might enjoy a community market to raise much-needed funds for worthy projects.

The Caulfield market is organised by Caulfield Rotary and is open to traders who provide home grown or hand-crafted items such as bakery items, fruit and vegetables, clothing, paintings and decorative home items. There will also be stalls selling consumables such as ice cream, juices and hot food to go.

All of the money raised is to be used towards funding both national and international Rotary projects. Caulfield Rotary began over 60 years ago, and the funds will go towards community services locally, while also helping humanitarian needs in developing countries.

Examples of local projects include providing playground equipment in primary schools and painting homes for the elderly. Further from home, donations are used against Malaria projects in locations such as Papua and New Guinea, as well as for polio vaccinations.

Stall holders at markets often use local printing services to produce Business Cards, price lists and important printed information about their wares.

The Caulfield Rotary Community Market will next be held on Sunday, 6 July, from 9 am until 2 pm. The venue for it will be the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve. There is ample parking and entry is free. This is to be one in a series of events.
