Female business owners to benefit from networking event

Female business owners looking to get ahead in online marketing can get help from the Glen Eira Council Women’s Business Network this month.

The next meeting of the network will feature speaker Danielle MacInnis, a small business marketer with a particular focus on customer centric marketing. She has over 20 years marketing experience working not only for others, but also running her own business. She now works to help small and medium business owners to develop their marketing and build their brands both on and offline.

At this meeting, she will discuss a range of ways to market a business online and build a loyal customer base. Topics include adding offers to a Facebook page, tracking reviews and using them to boost business, using social media to build leads and using online tools to create offers and attract customers.

The Women’s Business Network is an informal group created to help businesswomen in Caulfield and Glen Eira’s other suburbs support each other, promote their businesses and learn new skills. A marketing network table and self-promotion opportunities are available at each event and professional business card printing is a good way to make new contacts. With the next meeting focusing on online marketing, digital Business Cards may also be a good idea.

The meeting takes place on Thursday February 21st at Glen Eira Town Hall and starts at 7.30pm. The event costs $20 and bookings must be made by Monday February 18th. Bookings can be made by contacting the Glen Eira Council service centre.
