Chance to learn new networking skills in Caulfield

Businesswomen looking to boost their networking prowess may be considering attending the next Glen Eira Women’s Business Network meeting later this month.

The evening event will focus on networking for small and medium-sized business owners, and is designed to help them feel more confident about talking to potential clients and work partners.

The workshop will be led by Brenda Thomson who founded SMART Small Business Forums, an organisation that brings smaller companies together and helps entrepreneurs learn new skills.

The firm now has a series of forums across Australia, including Glen Eira, which enable businesses to work together and share information.

Topics covered during the evening will include how to make the most of each opportunity, how to work with an elevator pitch, and how to follow up effectively with someone met at a networking event.

Of course, one of the most important things about networking is having the right contact details to pass on, so participants should think about business card printing to make sure they create a professional image.

Following Brenda’s presentation, there will be a special networking session to allow people to put what they have learnt into practice, with the chance for guidance from the experts.

The event takes place on Thursday, September 18th at Glen Eira Town Hall in Caulfield. Places must be booked with the council by Monday, September 15th.
