Families in Caulfield can find out more about the council’s childcare options with three centres, including the local group based at the town hall.
Glen Eira City Council runs the children's centres, which provide daycare for youngsters from six months old to three years old, and kindergarten sessions for children aged between three and five years old.
Centres are staffed by trained educators and are assessed by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority.
The three centres in Caulfield, Carnegie and Murrumbeena will be open to the public for an hour later this month to enable current and potential families to see what goes on during the learning sessions.
Parents will be able to see staff in action and ask questions of the educators, as well as finding out more about the learning programmes that run at the venues.
Centres could also create Brochures to hand out to prospective parents to explain more about how the service works and what they should expect once their child starts.
The Caulfield centre is popular with residents but does have vacancies in the rooms for older children on several days each week.
The open day will be held on Tuesday, February 23 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. For more information about the event, or to enrol a child in a centre, contact Glen Eira City Council.
