Caulfield area welcomes cultural event

A major festival celebrating African culture is coming to Melbourne later this year.

Residents of Caulfield and other suburbs of Melbourne are invited to come down to an important cultural event taking place this July at Queen Victoria Market. Entitled “African Festival Melbourne” the two-day event will transform sheds C and D at the popular commercial hub into a celebration of all things Africa, featuring music, entertainment and mouth-watering cuisine.

Festival organisers using outdoor event spaces often enlist the expertise of professional banner printing services to create colourful signage that can endure all kinds of weather.

Returning for the third year in the row, the festival will feature traditional music including authentic African drummers, along with dancers and other live entertainers. Vendors will be onsite serving up dishes from across Africa and there will be unique activities offered just for children.

The aim of the event is to offer an opportunity to experience cultural immersion, giving Melbourne residents a chance to meet the African community and enjoy their traditional recipes and entertainment.

Africa Festival Melbourne will now be held at Queen Victoria Market on Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16. The market can be found on Queen Street in Melbourne; the festival will open at 10am and close at 4pm on both days of the event.
