Caulfield area to present comedy course

A comprehensive course created especially for comics is coming to Melbourne in the new year.

Caulfield residents looking for a space to sharpen their comedy skills need look no further than nearby Melbourne this summer. January will find Roxy's Functions & Events hosting a five-day educational experience called “Learn Stand-up Comedy” based on the School of Hard Knock Knocks’ curriculum.

Companies running learning opportunities like masterclasses and workshops often look to expert printing services to produce branded course materials they can issues to students that look professional.

Each day of the complete course is dedicated to a different area of expertise required by a successful stand-up. Day one is a foundation allowing comedians to find out who they are and how to structure a joke using the “Normal-Normal-Twist” method.

Day two is about getting confident and creating content, while the third day focuses on joke delivery and how to master the audience.

On day four, comics learn how to close a show and prepare for graduation, and on the last day, they get a chance to perform live on stage.

The comedy course will now be at Roxy's Functions & Events from Sunday, 19 to Thursday, 23 January. The venue is situated at 2 Alfred Place in South Melbourne, and cost of the course is priced between $550 and $990, depending on the option selected.
