Caulfield residents looking to get out of the house on Boxing Day can enjoy a relaxed afternoon at the races, with a full card scheduled for Caulfield Racecourse.
The card features a range of races, including the top rated Christmas Stakes and Lord Stakes, which each have prize money of $120,000.
As well as the races, there will be a number of children's activities including face painting and a jumping castle and crafts. Youngsters can also try their hand at some sports challenges including cricket nets.
The venue will also be showing the first day of the Boxing Day Test match between Australia and the West Indies at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the big screen, so real sport fanatics will be able to watch the racing and keep up to date with the cricket score.
If the sun is shining, the event could be a good opportunity for a family photo, which could be reproduced by a printing company for the wall at home or as thank you cards for Christmas gifts.
There are nine races on Saturday, December 26, starting at lunchtime. Dining options are available or race goers can bring their own picnic and spread a blanket on the lawn.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from the Melbourne Racing Club website. Children under-13 get in free with a paying adult.
