Not-for-profit organisations in Glen Eira have the chance to come together to share information and expertise next week.
The Communities Working Together Conference will soon be held in Caulfield and is open to all non-profit groups and community organisations working across the city.
This is the fourth year the event has taken place, allowing groups to work together as well as hearing from experts in the sector.
Before attending, groups might like to approach brochure printers to help create a short information leaflet about their work and what sort of help they need.
As well as the chance to network and swap ideas, the conference will feature keynote speakers and presentations about successful community projects.
This year's main speaker will be Janey Francis, director of Scarlett Strategic Solutions. With qualifications in marketing, law, and linguistics, Francis specialises in communications and leading change. She will talk about how to develop relationships and how organisations can work together, even though they may have diverse memberships and aims.
Other presentations include a talk on the success of the Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre in helping people with disabilities, and a scheme to raise awareness of men's health.
The conference will take place at Caulfield Park Pavilion between 9.30am and 2.30pm on Wednesday, November 12th. Places can be booked through the Glen Eira City Council website.
