Families to enjoy fundraising day in Broadmeadows

Those living in and around Broadmeadows can enjoy a day of activities and fun in mid-April, with proceeds going towards the World Humanitarian Assistance Support Network (WHASN).

All the family is welcome, and local businesses and community groups are also invited to attend or be represented.

The event will feature an all-day sausage sizzle, with stalls selling ice cream, popcorn, fairy floss, slushies and waffles.

Activities will include face painting and hair braiding, and there will be clothing pop-up stalls to view. Prizes will be allocated throughout the day, and in addition, there will be a charity auction with food and retail vouchers up for grabs.

There will also be a chance to see and have photographs taken next to some prestige motorbikes.

Money raised will benefit refugees, asylum seekers and local families that might need help with housing, advocacy and food relief. Many rely heavily on WHASN, and such fundraising activities are vital within the community.

The printing of marketing materials for charitable events like this one might be undertaken by Stationery printers in the area.

The World Humanitarian Assistance Support Network Community Market Fundraiser Festival is taking place on Sunday, 12 April, from 10 am until 9 pm. The event is family-friendly and free to enter, and it will take place at the Jack Roper Reserve, 217 Camp Road, Broadmeadows.
