Broadmeadows art fans can soon attend a free exhibition that looks at the lived experience everyone shares through the lens of mixed media, painting and drawing.
The States of Being artists use personal reflections and portraiture to illustrate identity, connection, presence and emotion across experience, which is relevant to all ages and cultures.
The artists will use their preferred medium to convey realities and inner worlds, expressing joy, vulnerability and resilience. The collection of art in one place demonstrates how people view each other and reflects on how people see themselves.
The works of 13 Hume-based artists are to be shown, including Fatma Albaraqouni, Marina Zakryzska, Jana Tawil, Yvonne Bradford, Susan Sette, Lasantha Hitibandaranayake, Donia Salem, Mogjan Hornavar, Aya Salem, Shive Nagah, Lakmini Withanage Dona Prematunga, Hulya Ozdemir and Azriel Peace.
The organisers of exhibitions similar to this one may use local Print shops to create labelling and descriptions for the works of art on show.
Exhibition Launch: States of Being will be taking place on Wednesday, 22 July, from 6.30 pm until 8.30 pm, at the Town Hall in Broadmeadows. The exhibition is free to attend, but it is necessary to reserve a spot. The exhibition is suitable for all ages.
