Classic sounds to entertain Broadmeadows

A centre for seniors in Broadmeadows is playing host to a special show featuring a set-list loaded with numbers from vintage music icons.

Broadmeadows will soon welcome a production called “The Rosemary Clooney Show”. The concert will include tribute acts to some of the most famous artists of the 1950s and recreates a TV programme experience live on stage.

The show is the brainchild of Little Pine Tree Productions, known for its Logo Design featuring a small evergreen. It produces high-quality performances designed to enrich the community and provides a wide range of entertaining events with an emphasis on audiences that consist of vulnerable and senior members of the public.

Those coming down to the show in Broadmeadows can enjoy much-loved songs from performers from the golden age of music like Mitch Miller, Doris Day, Bing Crosby, Irving Berlin, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Tony Bennet, Nat King Cole and more. Songs at the concert include “Mambo Italiano”, “Hey There” and “Tea for Two”, among others.

The Rosemary Clooney Show will now be performed live at the Lynda Blundell Community Centre on Monday, March 23. Doors to the event will open at 2.30 pm and the show will run 3 pm to 4.15 pm. The community centre is simple to find at 185 Blair Street in the Broadmeadows suburb of Dallas, named after Victoria’s former governor.
