Conference brings local government leaders together in Broadmeadows

Local government councillors and others from across Victoria will soon gather in Broadmeadows for the 2025 Women’s Association State Conference.

Celebrating the leadership, connection and growth taking place within local government organisations, the three-day conference will feature opportunities to network, learn and start important conversations.

Themed around “Making your Mark”, the 2025 conference is designed to encourage and celebrate women taking on leadership roles in their communities, building a lasting legacy and inspiring the next generation of leaders. Attendees can expect to hear from keynote speakers, participate in sessions on combatting disinformation, social media, incivility, and collective solutions, or connect with their peers over the gala dinner.

The Australian Local Government Women’s Association (ALGWA) was created to support the drive for gender equality in government through advocacy, networking, mentoring and support for women in and entering positions of leadership. Their annual state conference seeks to bring together women from across the with the goal of furthering female participation in government positions, and highlight and discuss the issues facing new and established women in the sector.

Conferences like this often use banner printing services to create the signage they need to display at the venue. These Banners are typically displayed on stage or outside conference halls, and feature the information of speakers, topic for discussion and the Logo Design of the conference’s organiser and any sponsors.

The ALGWA’s State Conference will take place from Thursday, August 28 to Saturday, August 30, at the Broadmeadows Town Hall.
