The Hume City Council offers a range of events to provide business owners with the opportunity to increase their skills and network with people from other companies.

The council also hosts the Hume Business Breakfasts which are designed to access current business news, expand client bases and hear from guest speakers all in lovely surroundings.
A recent guest speaker, David Smorgon spoke about his four rules of success, which are based on his personal experiences as President of the Western Bulldogs Football Club and as Director of Smorgon Consolidated Industries. The breakfast was held at The Meadows in Broadmeadows and proved to be a great opportunity to listen to an inspiring speaker and exchange traditional and digital business cards with other attendees.
These breakfasts always attract representatives from both local, state and federal government departments and people from small to large businesses in the local area. The council hosts the breakfasts twice a year.
