UK poet coming to St. Leonards area
A world-famous venue in Sydney will present a British songwriter and poet to its stage later this year.
Music fans from St. Leonards and other suburbs of Sydney will soon enjoy the opportunity of seeing Arlo Parks live in concert. For a single-night show, the multi-talented artist will be performing at the Sydney Opera House presenting her latest material to Australian audiences.

Born Anaïs Oluwatoyin Estelle Marinho in 2000, Arlo Parks, has enjoyed a career packed with critical acclaim since the release of her debut album in the studio called “Collapsed in Sunbeams”. Issued in 2021, the album reached number three in the UK Albums Chart and earned her multiple nominations including Best New Artist and Album of the Year. It also won best album at the Hyundai Mercury Prize Awards.
This year, Parks released her sophomore album “My Soft Machine”. So far, four singles have come from the recording including the lead track “Weightless”, "Impurities", "Blades" and "Pegasus" which was released on May 10.
Arlo Parks will now be at the Sydney Opera House located at Bennelong Point in Sydney on Thursday, July 20. The concert will start at 8 pm.
