A Canadian rapper and singer will be playing a single-night set at a Sydney venue this winter.
Those who enjoy rap and hip-hop in St. Leonards won’t want to miss an overseas act playing nearby in Sydney this June. Canada’s Roy Wood$ will be storming the stage of the state capital’s well-known Metro Theatre to play a live set packed with his latest tracks.
Last year saw the Wood$ lend his talents to Serena Ryder’s all-star single called "What I Wouldn't Do". The song was released for charity to benefit the Feel Out Loud campaign by Kids Help Phone to support mental health. Not-for-profit organisations and children’s charities often work with gifted graphic designs service to create thought-provoking material for their campaigns.
2023 also saw the rising raps star release his sophomore studio album. Dubbed “Mixed Emotions” the recording boasted special guest appearances from Vory, Jada Kingdom and Coi Leray. It featured a multitude of singles including "Touch You", "Bad Bad", "Insecure", "Don't Love Me", "Don't Mind Me", and "Young Boy Problems". Those attending the upcoming show in Melbourne will likely get to hear live renditions of some of these tracks.
Roy Wood$ will now perform live at the Metro Theatre on Saturday, June 1. The show will begin at 8 pm and the venue is situated at G2/624 George Street in Sydney.
