What's Happening in St Leonards, NSW…

Self-help workshop bound for St. Leonards

A Sydney library has been chosen as the site for a two-day self-improvement workshop founded on mindfulness concepts.

Those in St. Leonards looking to enrich and improve their lives in 2025 can attend an upcoming summer workshop. This February a two-day event called “ACT Made Simple will take place at the State Library of New South Wales in Sydney. The workshop covers Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) training part one and is led by Russ Harris.

Companies hosting workshops and other training types sometimes enlist the expertise of brochure printing services to develop branded literature they can share with interested candidates.

ACT’s name is derived from one of its key messages, for people to accept what is not under their personal control and to commit to actions that enhance and enrich their life.

Its ongoing aim is to optimise human potential for a full, rich, and meaningful life. It achieves this by helping people build psychological skills that let them effectively manage difficult feelings and thoughts to reduce their influence and impact.

It also helps people clarify their values and how they wish to treat themselves, others and the word, and use values to inspire, motivate and guide their actions.

The two-day workshop will begin on Tuesday, February 25 and ends on Wednesday, February 26 and takes place in the Dixson Room at the State Library of NSW in Sydney.
