Free concerts to celebrate stage debut

Lane Cove Council, which also covers parts of St. Leonards, will be presenting a unique series of free live performances to celebrate the new stage at The Canopy.

Newly established, The Canopy is home to an abundance of formal and casual dining options, as well as park activities and a stage that has been purpose-built for events and entertainment. The stage, which boasts state-of-the-art visual and audio equipment, can also be extended to cater for performances by a large concert band.

The first series of free performances will feature Diesel, who has six ARIA awards, 16 albums and 35 singles to his credit, followed by The John Morrison Band, with Jacki Cooper and James Morrison as special guests, and finally, the act Splash Dance from ABC Kids, which has become popular for providing top children's entertainment. John Field, who has penned over 400 of The Wiggles hits, has also written the music and songs to be performed by Splash Dance.

These are among many of Australia's top performers who have been the focus of major poster printing campaigns advertising high-profile events throughout the years.

The Canopy's Village Green will be fenced off specifically for the entertainment programme, with seats provided for audience members who will be selected from a public ballot. To ensure a COVID-safe environment, numbers will be strictly limited at each event.

Restaurants located in Birdwood Lane will also be open for people attending the concerts, which will be held on November 29 at The Canopy.
