Organisations from St. Leonards and throughout the Municipality of Lane Cove are being invited to sponsor local events and festivals during 2020.
Financial sponsorship opportunities are being offered by Council for major events including Christmas, Festival by the River, Lane Cove Festival, Lane Cove Literary Awards and Lane Cove Night Out. The events are all well supported by locals and visitors alike.
Further opportunities may also include the support of public art, cultural and community programmes, service provision, community resources, special projects, other events and publications.
The Autumn Harmony 2020 festival, to be held throughout March, is one of the events for which sponsorship is currently being invited. Held to celebrate the area’s cultural diversity, the festival often involves brochure printing to promote events such as special talks, film screenings, workshops and live music.
As part of the festival, the popular Kaleidoscope of Lane Cove will also be held on March 20 at the Lane Cove Plaza in celebration of Harmony Day.
According a council spokesperson, each festival event attracted in excess of 3,000 people in 2019 and the 2020 programme offers local businesses, individuals and organisations that sponsor them a great opportunity to raise brand awareness and enhance individual corporate images in the local area.
He said those participating not only enjoy higher visibility can also maximise brand exposure through promotional activities for the events including associated marketing materials.
