Small Cheyenne event set to make big impact
An organization that helps to make sure no child in Cheyenne will go hungry has put out a call to the public to support the first ever Big Itty Bitty 0.5K.
Everyone is encouraged to be a part of the event, and both fun and fundraising are on the agenda.
The course, which will be just three blocks long, is open to all whether they walk, run, crawl, or roll along. The sole requirement for the activity is that only non-motorized transportation can be used. Along with the race, the participants will be welcome to enjoy the post-run carnival, and lunch will be served.
The race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am, and once it is over, there will be yard games, live music, cold beer, and other activities. A raffle draw has been planned, and coffee and donuts will be served along the race course.
The monies raised through the Big Itty Bitty 0.5 event will be forwarded to the Friday Food Bag Foundation, which provides healthy food to kids so they will have things to eat over the weekend. Since it can be reused in subsequent years, pop-up signage from a banner printing company can be a cost effective choice for an event like this.
Danielmark’s Brewing company Inc. has made plans to host this fundraiser on June 29. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am.
