Earth Day learning opportunities ahead in Cheyenne
Cheyenne's climate means being careful with water is especially important to its gardeners, and a day dedicated to low-water horticulture is on the agenda for the city this April.
The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens offers opportunities to learn about a variety of plant-related topics. The venue will be marking Earth Day by exploring how home horticulturalists can enjoy their hobby in a way that is water friendly and kind to the environment. There will be three workshops on the agenda, and advance registration is required.
The scheduled presentation will be facilitated by subject matter experts from the local area, and high plains gardening, crevice hardening, and turfgrass management for growing conditions in the local area will be among the topics addressed. Along with these, attendees will be able to visit the tulip show as well, as the food truck that will be rolling in.
Many communities host Earth Day celebrations, making the most of the environmental theme to spread an important message. A poster printing company will be able to prepare items for display using recycled materials, or better still, they can be designed so they can be deployed over and over.
Cheyenne Botanic Gardens will be showing some love to the Earth by hosting this special day on Saturday, April 22. The first class will begin at 11:00 am.
