Cheyenne youngsters offered spaces at special summer camp

Cheyenne kids who have always wanted to know more about a local animal rescue shelter may find that an upcoming summer activity is what they have been hoping for.

The Cheyenne Animal Shelter will be giving kids a sneak peek into its operation, and as it will use a summer camp-style form, the participants can count on having plenty of fun. The campers will meet cats, dogs and other furry, feathery and scaly friends, and it can be a great way to learn about how an animal shelter works and cares for its charges.

The activity, which is intended for kids who are from ages 7 to 12, will be marking 10 years of making learning fun for kids. They will make lots of discoveries, all while finding out ways they can show care and respect to the other creatures who share their world.

The organizers of the program explained that, along with meeting and learning about animals, the kids will play games, make crafts and meet lots of new friends, They will also be able to complete worksheets, and stationery printers in the local area can be counted on to supply these sorts of educational items .

The fee to register for this camp, which will run from August 3 until August 7, is $150. This includes a T-shirt that sports a specially prepared graphic design, and the sessions will take place at 800 Southwest Drive.
