Cheyenne plans annual planting workshop

Planting a tree can be an investment in the future, and thanks to a Cheyenne spring workshop, those who call the community home will be able to help out.

Rooted in Cheyenne has organized an activity that will cover tree care and maintenance. It will run for five hours and may be useful to those who will be planting a tree they received through one of the organization's initiatives.

The morning will start with breakfast and an opportunity to meet members of the group’s Board of Directors and find out more about what it does. There will be industry experts on hand to answer questions from the crowd, and there will be tips and advice shared for everything from planting to pruning, pet control, and feeding. A raffle will round out the occasion, and the 20 winners will each go home with a five-gallon shade tree.

Before the session wraps up, a variety of materials will be distributed so the attendees can continue to learn, and there will also be information shared about volunteering. A brochure printing company can prepare an assortment of items for an education activity.

The crew at Rooted in Cheyenne has made plans to offer its 2025 Tree Care Workshop on April 5. It will begin at 8:00 am.
