Cheyenne planning salute to local heroes
May is Military Appreciation Month in Cheyenne, and the community will be saluting these heroes by welcoming them at a special community-based event.
A BBQ will soon be held in honor of area veterans, and it will be on offer at 1022 Airport Parkway. Support for the occasion has been provided by Nuvision Federal Credit Union and High West Energy, and the planners of the festivities can be reached at 638-3388.
The function is open to both veterans and currently serving military members, along with their families, and it will run for four hours. The guests of honor will be treated to freshly BBQ’ed burgers as well as wings courtesy of WingShack wings. A bouncy house will be set up for the kids. The younger guests can also have their face painted, and there will be other fun on offer as well.
Along with the rest of the excitement of the activity, there will be draws for corporate gifts and other prizes. The festivities will be kicking off at 10:30 am, and they will run for four hours.
This chance for Cheyenne to show some love to its veterans as well as military members and their families, will be held on May 20. All those who are interested are invited to stop by in person and join in the spirit of the celebration.
