What's Happening in Cheyenne, WY…

Cheyenne museum to explore animal athletic abilities

A Cheyenne museum that showcases the state's natural history has made plans to offer families a day of special activities, and this four-hour event is open to all ages.

The Wyoming State museum will be showcasing the abilities of animal athletes, and the hope is that this will encourage people to learn about and develop an appreciation of the natural world. It will celebrate both human sporting events and the birthday of Charles Darwin, and while admission is free, timeslots must be booked in advance.

The attendees will be offered opportunities to interact with nature, and this includes viewing and even touching specimens in the museum’s collections. Live salamanders and snakes will be on site, and games and tests of skill will take place. Crafting stations will be set up, and everyone can make their own gold medal and enjoy the other fun on offer.

The museum expresses its gratitude for the support of Scheels in Johnstown, which has helped to ensure this will be a no-cost activity for everyone interested. A poster printing company can be called upon to provide visual learning materials and other supplies for a special event.

This day of family fun is scheduled for the Wyoming State Museum on February 5, and it will run from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Timeslots may be booked through Eventbrite.
