Cheyenne to heat up during February Chili Challenge
Cheyenne residents who are looking for a way to heat up the winter will soon have a way of doing just that, while at the same time, helping local kids.
This year will mark the 10th year for the city’s Chili Challenge, which is being organized by the Boys and Girls Club. Both professional and amateur chili chefs will be participating, and the public will have a chance to sample a wide variety of versions of this spicy food.
Along with the main dish, guests will be able to enjoy freshly baked corn bread, and both beer and soft drinks will be available. They will also be invited to vote for their favorite chili entry, and the winner will be named “people’s choice” and earn bragging rights for their special recipe.
To help maximize the funds raised through the occasion, those who plan on coming out are reminded to bring along their voting dollars, as the proceeds from this part of the day will be added to the monies collected through ticket sales. Graphic design can be used by an area printer to craft award certificates for the winner of a competitor such as this.
The ticket price for this family friendly function is priced at $20.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids. It has been planned for January 26th in the Radisson Hotel Cheyenne, and more details are available on the city’s website event page.
