Cheyenne gears up for September city celebration
Cheyenne has a reputation for being a great place to hang your hat, and a special day is on the way for those who call the city home.
The second annual Community Appreciation Day is right around the corner, and it promises to have excitement on tap and a wide range of activities, with fun for all ages.
Both community members and visitors may get involved in the festivities. Kids can enjoy the bungee trampoline and bounce houses, get their faces painted, and watch balloon twisting, and everyone can hop aboard the mini train. Pony rides will be available for a small fee, and yard games will be on offer. Local law enforcement and military members will be setting up displays, and an Oktoberfest celebration is on the agenda as well.
As this will be the second year for the celebration, the organizers want to make it a day to remember. Banner printing services for a special community gathering will be available at a local printer.
This day of family-friendly fun will be taking place in Cheyenne, with the center for the fun being 1 Depot Square. It starts at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 23. Admission will be free, and the activities will continue on until it wraps up at 4:00 pm. Any questions can go to amber@cheyenne.org.
