Cheyenne fundraising to help kick off fall season
A fundraising race that was set for the spring has been rescheduled to the fall, and those who use the Cheyenne Greenway will benefit from the festivities.
Fall Into Green includes both a 10K run and 5K run and a walk. Those who are interested can choose which group they wish to enter, and those who need a wheelchair or other assistive mobility device are welcome.
An active way to begin the fall season, the fundraiser will take place in Holiday Park, and the registration station will be set up at the shelter located near the Big Boy Steam Engine. Each registry will includes a light breakfast and a T-shirt that will feature a fun graphic design, and while they run, walk or roll, they can feel good knowing they will be helping to make the Greater Cheyenne Greenway even better by funding enhancements and upgrades to the park.
The participation fee for the day starts at $30, and a discount is being offered to any young people who would like to take part. Those who would like to wait until the day of the run to sign up are welcome to do so, and they can do this at the registration kiosk that will be set up for the day.
This noncompetitive fundraising activity has been scheduled for September 19.
