What's Happening in Cheyenne, WY…

Cheyenne clinic to protect local pets

Taking proactive steps to protect their companion animal’s health is about to get easier for Cheyenne’s residents, thanks to a pop-up clinic.

The team at Black Dog Animal Rescue has scheduled a Community Vaccine Clinic, and while appointments are strongly recommended, walk-ins may be accommodated too. Rabies shots are on the list of vaccines available, and as this disease can be extremely dangerous for pets and people alike, these learnings are likely to be an important piece of being a good “pet parent.”

Both dogs and cats will be welcome to attend the function, and one-year rabies, DA2PP, FVRCP, and Bordetella vaccines will all be available. The price charged will depend on which ones are used. The organizers strongly advise the public to consult with their veterinarian before having their pet vaccinated. Microchipping services will be available as well.

To help function organizers, animals are asked to be leashed or in a crate while they wait. IDs showing the owner is at least 18 years of age must be provided. Marketing materials can be prepared by a flyer printing company to help spread the word about an event, and they can contain the information needed to take full advantage of an activity.

This low-cost community vaccine clinic will be protecting pets on August 12. It will be popping up at 2407 East 9th Street.
