Cheyenne class to teach first aid essentials

Learning how to save someone’s life can be as simple as participating in a training course, and one of these activities is set to equip Cheyenne adults with priceless skills.

A course planned for local adults will cover cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid. The instructor for the day will be Jason Evans, and it will be on offer at 1400 East College Drive.

Starting with learning how to assess a situation to determine whether or not CPR is needed, the students will get some hands-on practice with the procedure. As many public spaces are now equipped with an automated external defibrillator, the use of this equipment is also on the agenda. The treatment of a variety of the most commonly encountered life-threatening emergencies will be discussed, and the registration fee for the seminar which will run throughout the day, is $99.99.

The learners who take part in this type of activity often appreciate receiving wallet cards that indicate that they have completed the training, as well as certificates they can display on their wall. Both of these items may be ordered from stationery printers in the local area.

This CPR and First Aid class is scheduled to start at 9:00 am on December 17. Anyone who has questions about the activity can reach the organizers at 307-778-4381.
