Cheyenne celebration to showcase natures creepy side
While nature’s creepy set may not be everyone’s cup of tea, an activity that will be on offer at a Cheyenne museum may help to change that.
The Wyoming State Museum offers programming and exhibits for all ages, and one of these is its Family Days initiative. The October instalment will introduce kids and adults alike to spiders, snakes, insects, bats and other animals some find spooky, and it's being offered at no additional cost.
The function will use games, crafts and other fun to teach the participants about animals that, while they may not be cute and cuddly, still play an important role in nature. The adults may enjoy sitting in on one of the talks that will be given by a member of the museum’s staff, and live insects will be included. An entomologist from the University of Wyoming will be on hand as well.
Anyone who would like to be a part of this special event is asked to reserve their one hour time slot now. The function is being made possible thanks to sponsorship from Scheels. A printer will be able to prepare a selection of promotional pens and other small items to distribute during an organized occasion.
The Wyoming State Museum has scheduled this celebration of Mother Nature’s spooky set for October 1st. Space can be booked between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
