Eatery in Watertown undergoes expansion
The expansion of the Main Street Café in Watertown is underway and near completion.
Owned by Adil Limani, the café is at 116 E. Main Street and will be expanding by 4,000 square feet into 114 E. Main Street as well. This will double the number of people that can be seated at one time from 80 customers to 160, as the first floor has also been remodeled inside with new kitchen equipment.
The exterior of the building has also been remodeled with the removal of metal siding, which had been there for many years. A new awning has been added to match the original one over the main entrance and new windows have been installed.
The Main Street Café has a staff of 15, all of whom have been working on the updates and getting ready to open the new space. Such businesses can turn to promotional products to publicize their updates and other new amenities.
Emily McFarland, mayor of Watertown, said that Limani’s vision of the restaurant is coming true as the building looks great. McFarland added that there is a real synergy between the businesses in the downtown area and the city, and that it is exciting when everyone comes together to improve the community.
It is expected that these renovations and expansion will be completed either later this month or next.
