Primary care clinic opens in Brookfield

Brookfield recently welcomed a new clinic aimed at general care, with a business model designed to set it apart from other medical practices.

The operation is called Care4Me Clinics, and is the brainchild of long-time physician’s assistant Kajal Malkan, working with collaborating physician John Krueger. The clinic offers services for day-to-day medical care and wellness such as check-ups, lab testing, and coaching on subjects ranging from nutrition to CPR. It provides testing for COVID-19, the flu, and other common ailments. Care4Me uses a model called Direct Primary Care, which takes on individual patients or families for a monthly subscription fee that will cover all regular services and treatments.

Malkan has said that accessibility was one of the core aspects of her choice, saying:

“I knew not everybody would ... be as lucky as me. I wanted to open up a clinic to help those people.”

Malkan has said she aims for a subscriber base of approximately 500-600 patients, which is about a quarter of what most general practitioners see in a year. The goal is to make it easy to get a doctor’s visit quickly and manage health proactively. Small clinics like this, often using tools like brochure printing for explaining and promoting their services, aim to provide a more holistic and local health care experience. Consultations are available over the phone as well as in person.

Care4Me Clinics is currently open at a location on Regency Court.
