Juried craft fair returns to Brookfield for 50th year

Brookfield East High School’s Friends of Fine Arts (FFA) is preparing for its 50th annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair this fall.

As one of the largest juried events in Wisconsin, the fair will feature more than 180 vendors from across the Midwest. Crafters and artisans will sell a wide selection of jewelry, seasonal decorations, pottery, woodworked pieces, textiles and candles. Vendors often use banner printing services to display their brand names at their tables at this type of event.

Brookfield East’s choir, orchestra and band will perform across the day. Proceeds from the fair will go toward the school’s fine arts programs, which includes visual arts, music and drama clubs and classes, as well as scholarships for graduating seniors.

Admission is $5 each, and free for children five and younger. Those planning to attend can purchase tickets online in advance or pay cash at the door. Strollers are not permitted because space is limited. Lunch and local desserts will be available for purchase in the cafeteria. Brookfield East’s parking lot typically fills quickly, so overflow parking will be at Burleigh Elementary School and Pilgrim Park Middle School. A shuttle will run between the fair and the overflow parking.

The Brookfield East FFA Holiday Craft Fair will be on Sunday, November 8, from 10 am to 4 pm, at Brookfield East High School.
