Brookfield’s Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts is having its major annual awards and fundraising event this June.
The Big Event: An Evening in Bloom for the Arts will include performances, a live auction, food tasting stations and an open bar. The food stations will be open from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, followed by the sit-down program.
The Wilson Center will also present three awards. Andy Nunemaker is receiving the 21st Annual EDDY Award for his decades of work in arts fundraising and board leadership. The Pink Umbrella Theater Company, an inclusive space for artists and performers with disabilities, is receiving the 11th Annual Educational Excellence Award. Deanna Tillisch is receiving the inaugural Impact Award for her work on advancing the arts in the region.
Attendees are asked to RSVP by May 1. Tickets are available online for $375 per person or $3000 per group of eight. Sponsorships are also available. Arts organizations often work with graphic design experts to create digital ads for their fundraising events. Guests are encouraged to follow the “garden party soirée” dress code. The event will have both indoor and outdoor components, so flat shoes or wedges are recommended to allow for comfortable walking on the grass. Valet parking will be provided.
The Big Event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, starting at 4:30 pm.
