Elmbrook Humane Society (EBHS) is hosting its 19th annual Wagfest this fall.

The dog-friendly festival is a fundraiser for EBHS. It will include activities for pets, and food, drink, and other vendors. There will be three lure courses for dogs, an adoption tent, a photo booth, and a zone for dogs to run off-leash. EBHS will also have a merch tent. Nonprofits often use brochure printing services to share information about their programs during community events.

The event is free to attend and open to all ages. Due to EBHS’s training philosophy, retractable leashes and prong or choke collars for dogs are not permitted.

EBHS is a nonprofit that works to prevent neglect and cruelty to animals and offers shelter for animals in need. It has dogs and cats available for adoption and runs programs including children’s birthday parties and Force Free animal training classes.

Confirmed vendors include B Painted Face Painting, Luwello, and The Hounds and Tap. The organizers are still accepting vendor applications and are also looking for sponsors and volunteers. Volunteers do not need any specific experience, and teens are welcome. Those aged 12 to 15 can volunteer with an adult, and those 16 to 17 can volunteer with a parent’s permission.

Wagfest will be on Saturday, September 26, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, at Mitchell Park in Brookfield.
