Famed voice actor to perform in Brookfield area

Legendary voice actor Rob Paulsen will be bringing his stage show “Animaniacs in Concert!” to the Brookfield area with a show in Milwaukee this February.

The show is based onone of Paulsen’s most iconic roles - the mischievous Yakko in the cartoon series Animaniacs. Paulsen will be speaking and singing alongside music from Animaniacs’ musical composer Randy Rogel.

The show will feature Paulsen displaying his full array of vocal talents, including over 250 animated roles such as Pinky from Pinky and the Brain, and Raphael and Donatello from different versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The show is designed to be family-friendly and appeal to multiple generations of cartoon fans from Milwaukee, as well as surrounding areas like Brookfield and Kenosha.

The Milwaukee performance is part of an ongoing national tour of the Animaniacs in Concert series, and in particular a five-night swing across the Midwest, which includes a stop in Manitowoc, Wisconsin the night prior. Other dates on the tour have included Paulsen’s frequent co-star Maurice LeMarch.

The event is designed to capitalize on the recent revival of Animaniacs as well as a nostalgic appeal, with many songs from the classic series being performed. Concert events and fan conventions like this, typically promoted using tools such as flyer printing and social media, make it easier than ever for animation fans to get to know the people behind their favorite shows.

Animaniacs in Concert will come to Milwaukee’s Pabst Theatre on February 24, 2022.
