City sponsored summer sports signup begins in February
Youth baseball, softball and T-ball leagues are being introduced to the area, sponsored by the Brookfield Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry.
Participation is open to youngsters in the Elmbrook School District. Non-resident children of the district, or of the City of Brookfield, may be admitted but must apply for placement.
In-person registration will be possible at the Parks, Recreation & Forestry office in Brookfield, and online registration will also be an option. Both forms of registration will be conducted on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Additionally, mail-in or drop off registration will be accepted and will be randomly processed the next business day.
Registration fees will be $45 for Brookfield residents, regardless of league, and $67.50 for Elmbrook School District residents. For those who are residents of neither the Elmbrook School District nor the City of Brookfield, the registration fee will be $90. Including in every registration fee is a team T-shirt.
All teams will operate on a ‘no cuts’ and ‘no tryout’ basis. All players will be in the batting order for the whole game and each player will spend a minimum of two innings per game in field play.
Both online and in-person registration will be commencing at 8:00 am on February 9, and end at 5:00 pm on March 20. A flyer printing service could be instrumental in building support for these leagues and building teams.
