Brookfield to host twin job fairs
This March will see two job expos targeting the Milwaukee area land at the same hotel in Brookfield, Wisconsin within the space of a week, in a situation that could be good news to local jobseekers.
Both events are hosted by companies that hold job fairs across the company, JobFairX and the aptly titled National Career Fairs. The events are aimed at job hunters with all levels of experience in a variety of industries. Specific employers will be announced closer to the dates, and both companies will be looking to attract local companies to make sure their event is a success. JobFairX has highlighted its record of featuring jobs in industries ranging from accounting to video games, and promises the opportunity for salaried jobs with benefits.
For employers, job fairs are a way to appraise dozens of candidates face-to-face and help establish their company’s brand. For jobseekers, whether unemployed or looking to upgrade their current gig, it is a chance at a more personal experience than online résumé submission. Both companies encourage visitors to come prepared, wearing proper business apparel, carrying a full cache of business cards, and perhaps stopping by nearby print shops for résumé printing.
National Career Fairs will be holding this event during the day of March 18 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Milwaukee-Brookfield. JobFairX will visit the same hotel five days later on March 23.
