Brookfield Chamber educates on presentations
The Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Program is hosting an educational session on giving effective presentations this summer.
The Creating a Polished Presentation event will cover many aspects of designing and planning a presentation. This starts with understanding the audience and using this information to set clear expectations before the presentation begins. Attendees will learn how to keep their presentations visually interesting, how to incorporate their companies’ branding and how to add creativity. Finally, the presenter will discuss technology tips for using videos and tools like Canva to prepare their presentations.
Alexander Ramsey, who owns the creative agency Alexander Ramsey Creative and Layerly, will give the presentation. Ramsey founded his company nine years ago after spending three years at a design agency. He works with small- and medium-sized businesses to provide website refreshes, and other creative work that represents the client’s brand.
Chambers often offer sponsorship packages for events like these, where the sponsor can display their logo design throughout the event or even give a short speech.
The event is open to both Chamber members and guests. The cost for participants who register in advance is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. For walk-ins, the cost is $15 per member and $20 per non-member. Registration is available on the Chamber’s website, and refunds will not be issued to those registered who cannot attend.
The event will take place on Friday, July 19 from 9 am to 10 am at the Chamber’s office in Brookfield.
